In response to God's word revealed through all generations
and impelled by our belief in the intrinsic sacredness of family life,
we the members of the National Association of Catholic Family Life Ministers
join together to be a prophetic voice for family in Church and society,
to foster professional development, and to provide mutual support
for those who minister with families.
The saints and the blessed did not doggedly seek their own happiness,
but simply wanted to give themselves,
because the light of Christ had shone upon them.
They show us the way to attain happiness;
they show us how to be truly human.
