Archbishop Aquila

Archbishop Aquila is the eighth bishop of Denver and its fifth archbishop. His episcopal motto is, “Do whatever he tells you” (Jn 2:5). He was named the Archbishop of Denver on May 29, 2012 by Pope Benedict XVI. Archbishop Aquila’s ministry as shepherd of the people of northern Colorado is dedicated to helping every person experience the love of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit and be moved by that encounter to a lasting commitment to share the Gospel with enthusiasm, creativity and joy.

Archbishop Aquila was born on September 24, 1950, in Burbank, Calif. He was ordained to the priesthood in Denver on June 5, 1976, and served the Denver Archdiocese for 25 years before being appointed Coadjutor Bishop of Fargo, N.D. on June 12, 2001.

On March 18, 2002, he became bishop of Fargo upon the retirement of Bishop James Sullivan. He was installed as the eighth Archbishop of Denver on July 18, 2012. Monday, July 29.

Lisa Cotter

Lisa Cotter is the founder of Made to Magnify, an apostolate with a mission that encourages people to become saints. She and her husband Kevin are the co-authors of Dating Detox: 40 Days of Perfecting Love in an Imperfect World and co-hosts of the How-to Catholic podcast. In her free time Lisa is pursuing a Masters in Theology at the Augustine Institute and chasing around her four kids in Denver, CO.

 

Dennis Stoica

Dennis Stoica has been active in Catholic Marriage Ministries for the past 28 years, in the areas of marriage preparation, marriage enrichment, troubled marriages, blended families, and divorce recovery. He founded and led the largest healthy marriage coalition in the country, the California Healthy Marriages Coalition, which served over 200,000 people in its fi rest 10 years. He also led the most successful Community Marriage Initiative in the country, in Jacksonville, Florida, which from 2015 to 2018 experienced the most dramatic reduction in county-wide divorce rates ever seen from one of these initiatives. In 2011 he was the recipient of the Diocese of San Bernardino’s first ever “Marriage Building Award”. He has an MBA from Harvard and now lives in Panama City Beach, Florida with Sandy, his wife of 24 years.

Fr. Sean Kilcawley

“Theology of the Body and Accompaniment in the “Field Hospital” of the Church”

Fr. Sean Kilcawley is a nationally recognized speaker on Theology of the Body, Human Love and pornography addiction. He currently serves as the Director of the Office of Family Life for the Diocese of Lincoln and theological advisor for Integrity Restored.com–a non-profit organization that seeks to restore the integrity of families affected by pornography by providing education and resources to individuals, spouses, parents and clergy; to both heal and prevent wounds inflicted by the sexualized culture.

Katie Prejean McGrady

Katie Prejean McGrady is an international speaker, educator, and author. Since 2007, Katie has been traveling throughout the U.S. and Canada sharing a unique blend of humor & storytelling, coupled with teaching theological truth, to engage audiences of all ages. Katie has spoken at events large & small and has appeared on EWTN, Catholic TV, Radio Maria, & shows on The Catholic Channel on Sirius XM. Katie has written extensively, publishing two books – Room 24: Adventures of a New Evangelist and Follow: Your Lifelong Adventure with Jesus – with Ave Maria Press. She has published with Life Teen International, written for the USCCB “For Your Marriage” website, writes weekly for Epicpew.com, and maintains a blog here at katieprejean.com and curlyweds.com. Katie is married to Tommy McGrady & lives in Louisiana with their daughter, Rose, & dog, Barney.
