About Denise Tristan Abele Denise Tristan Abele is an experienced Marriage Educator who has served in the Marriage & Family Ministry for over a decade. She married her husband Brian in Austin, TX in 2002. They started their family in Charlotte, NC, and now have 7 beautiful children. Her passion for building up Marriage & the Family began as a Pre Cana Speaker for the Diocese of Charlotte, teaching monthly workshops, and theology of the body classes across the diocese. Upon their return to Austin, Denise became the Director of Marriage & Family Life at St William Catholic Church in Round Rock and again at St. Martin de Porres in Dripping Springs. She is currently the Director of Marriage & Family Life at St. Thomas More Catholic Church. She has taught and prepared thousands of engaged couples for marriage, and offered many enrichment programs and relationship skills to couples. She is a certified Theology of the Body instructor, a Prepare/Enrich and Together in God's Love facilitator, and an Annulment Advocate in the Diocese of Austin. Denise founded Donum Cordis, LLC, Latin for gift of the heart, in 2015, to educate individuals and couples around the globe. She has presented to a variety of groups on the topics of relationships, chastity education, theology of the body, marriage & family, parenting, and human & sex trafficking. She is a Natural Family Planning Promoter, and empowers women to embrace their fertility as a gift.
